2. Processing of your MVR files

Files you load into PLOTPLAN are processed exclusively on your device, in your browser. They are not transferred to our or any other server and are not stored – unless you explicitly send your scene along with a feedback report (see section 5).

3. Storage in your browser

PLOTPLAN does not store any settings in your browser (no localStorage, no cookies). So that the application starts faster on a repeat visit and works offline, your browser keeps the application's own program files (browser cache and service worker). These files contain no personal data and can be deleted at any time in your browser settings.

4. Hosting and server logs

This application runs on a virtual server provided by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. The servers are located in data centres in Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with STRATO.

When you open the page, the server necessarily processes your IP address and details of the request (requested file, time, browser identifier) in order to deliver the page to your browser. The connection is encrypted via TLS. This data is processed only for the duration of the request; no access logs (server log files) containing IP addresses are stored for this application. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the application (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Feedback and bug reports

With the “Feedback / report a problem” button you can send us a message voluntarily. Only when you click “Send” is your input transferred to our feedback server (feedback.plotplan.de) and stored there: the text you entered, optionally your e-mail address (only if you want to be informed about the progress), optionally your current scene as an MVR file (only if you tick the corresponding box), as well as the program version, the platform (web or desktop) and the language. Your IP address is not stored; it is only used briefly in memory to limit abuse by excessive numbers of requests.

The feedback server runs on the same server at STRATO GmbH as this application (see section 4). We use the information to understand and fix the problem and – if you gave an e-mail address – to inform you. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give by sending. Reports are deleted once they have been dealt with and are no longer needed. On request we delete your report earlier; just write to us. You can use the application in full without giving feedback.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21). You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
